From Steve Kirby: The ship log uplink should be scannable and give a flight plan for the ship so that you know where to find it again when it moves. If this is not working please put in a bug report.
*I hope this means in the future that Capital ships, mega-ships, huge cargo-transports can be scanned and flight-plan revealed, which can be used by players in the game to find/ track them.
Another piece of helping make the game feel more alive, adding more persistence and more potential for news items.
Could be pulled out in GalNet news reports - "troop movements during system conflict", "military exercises" and the like.
Combined with some combat zone changes (ability to "win" a zone and have cap-ship decamp to a new location), would be very cool addition to further make the BGS visible. Flight plans can feed into Piracy game-play (chasing and hitting mega-ship cargo repeatedly), Faction expansion (sending mega-ship/ Destroyer/Carrier class ships to a system), and the general appearance of actual life.
