Scanned Enemy... still became wanted

So, I while I was delivering boom data to a station I noticed that I was being pursued by the mission target, who wanted to prevent the delivery. I did a 180 to scan the target to get his status, wanted and mission target, and I dropped out of super cruise. I waited patiently from him to drop out of super cruise as well, as he did, and I ambushed him immediately. In doing so, my status became WANTED the moment i pressed the trigger. The original scan i performed of the enemy was omitted and had to be repeated. Can we fixed this? Can the scan of the enemy done while in super cruise still be valid while dropping into regular space?

A simple 13,000 cr boom data delivery turned into 9,000,000 insurance claim after security dropped in, scanned me and laid waste to my precious python. I was actually dying in laughter of how insanely quick this escalated, so I wasn't butt hurt or anything. Just thought I shared something that I feel need to be fixed.

Open a ticket with FDev support and upload the journal file for that day/session with the ticket. If everything is as you say it is then FDev is usually pretty good about fixing bugs. If the story is different from what you perceive it to be they will at least explain it to you . . . o7

EDIT: In the interest of clarity, when I say a support ticket, I mean actually opening a support ticket with FDev by clicking on the "Support" link at top-right in the game launcher, not posting a thread in the "bug reports" forum. o7
