scanner and weapon question.

I am going from memory so please bear with me if I am not 100% correct.

I was looking at 2 scanners, class 3 B and D rated iirc.

Both had the same range and same mass but the B grade used more power but was A integrity as opposed to B.

So what is the integrity meaning and what is the relavence to what makes the more expensive one better.

Finally, I noticed the damage specs of the class 1 burst laser seems similarmover all to the class 2 pulse laser and the energy usage is similar too but the burst laser weighs much less. Is the extra weight of the class 2 pulse laser worth it, and do they make class 2 burst lasers?

Pretty sure that Integrity is the 'hit points' of the module.

For most internal modules, the D rafting version is lighter than the E, C and A version, but has lower Integrity. The B rating version is heavier than the E, C and A version.

Also, the outfitting displays seem to round ranges to whole km. Two scanners with the same listed range can actually have different ranges in use.

I learned this the hard way with my KWS. Its range was listed @ 3km but it didn't actually start working until I was within 2.5. I upgraded to the next one with a stated range of 3km and actually got the full 3km range.
