Horizons Scanners really that broken

I remember some complaints a while ago about the SRV scanners not working properly or giving inaccurate readings. However on my first surface stroll in months for ammo synthesis mats my wav scanner is completely unfunctional. No sounds, blips, nothing! Drove around for 30 minutes not a single signal or noise blip. Recalled my ship which usually spikes the radar, nothing , random flying overhead npcs, nothing. I've tried relogging, changing modes, landing/relanding. Nothing works.

My before I submit a bug report is this the same issue other Cmdrs are having or something new?

I think it must be something new.

Last week I did an SRV outing and it was fine. (Not that I understand the different sounds) Really fine.

Better post the bug report.

It's not consistent from session to session, but there have been many bug reports and I understand it will be fixed for 2.3

But your experience seems extreme ... if it consistently happens, it could be a setting for your scanner, as GJ51 suggested.
