So, given the potential for possible alien or other surprises, I was wondering what the consensus among the explorers out there is on the above? I know all the reasons for not doing it (so please don't bother listing them all here again). I was just wondering if recent events with the UAs and possible alien-caused plague (or plague as an excuse to hide alien life on a planet/moon) and possible alien life in all those systems the Fed President was planning on visiting has changed people's attitudes towards 'roids, of the asteroid kind? Heading out on what I will hope will be a long exploration voyage, and trying to decide whether I should, or shouldn't, or if I should wait for 1.3 and only start scanning them then? Thoughts?
