I was hoping that the planet scanner time could be decreased by getting a detailed scanner or upgraded discovery scanner. I think it would be more fun to tear around the system finding the planets than having to stop at each one and wait. Or is their a way to get it to "discover" faster that i'm not aware of?

i don't think that time to scan needs to be decreased.
It could be more involving, more hands on activity.
Not just point at it and wait.
