Scanning Through a Star

Are we supposed to be able to scan a planet that is on the other side of a star or is this a little bit of a bug?

It's science fiction, make up some imaginary way of bendable light or whatever.
I wouldn't even call it immersion breaking it such a non-issue.

But seriously.. Probably not, but i imagine there are more things to worry about and fix then scanning through a star.

Not worried, just curious. It helps speed up exploration data gathering so I am happy for it to stay in the game

Please, FD, put this below the bottom of your list of things to change in the name of realism, exploration is tedious enough without having to loop around stars to scan them.

Ynot sure if wirking as intended, I believe it does. Have used that technique many times. So yes, its been working like that.

Given that our scanners work at faster than light speeds (think of what the advanced discovery scanner is capable of!) I have to assume that scanning through a star is relatively trivial. And no, I don't want them to reduce the capabilities of the scanners....
