I know F10 takes a screenshot and stores them in my pictures folder but is there a way of taking screen shots from the outside of the ship?

With the ones pressing F10 are from inside with all the ships panels and stuff.

So far, no.

There is some talk about "vanity drones" in the future to look at the outside of the ships which sounds like it will offer this. They are concerned that people will use exterior views during dog fighting to get some sort of unrealistic advantage.

Thats a bit of a bummer .. maybe only allow screenshots from outside if you are out of combat only.
