Scenery Pack Animal Upgrade [Utopia]

Spoiler: Chrm
Phew, you worried us there for a second...
An animal that is only in captivity because of the illegal pet trade is not a good choice for a zoo game, which wants to show the positive aspects of zoos
This isn't necessarily negative, because the zoo is rescuing the animals from people that do illegal things (unless I misread and it's the zoo that's smuggling them). I think that having animals from the pet trade is a great idea for conservation, to show how humans shouldn't look for exotic animals as pets (unless they're domesticated or captive bred. I want my RETFs).

Anyways, imma follow this thread's rules, now. Oh,and I'm gonna follow it by updates. So, any packs released before 1.4 will NOT have aquatic animals like penguins or seals, etc.

Arctic pack
  • Musk ox
  • Wolverine
  • Snowshoe hare
  • Siberian newt (E)
South America pack
  • Maned wolf
  • Capybara
  • Spectacled bear
Australia pack
  • Common wombat
  • Quokka
  • Emu
Aquatic pack
  • Nutria (Coypu)
  • Platypus
  • Hawksbill turtle
Africa pack
  • Scimitar horned oryx
  • Dromedary camel
  • Colobus monkey
Europe pack
  • Red fox
  • Wild boar
  • Atlantic puffin

Recently I thought about the Europe Pack. Although I like every animal in it, somehow it feels "incomplete" to me. It is very difficult to represent a whole continent or region with just 5 animals (or with 8). Some exclusions were understandable (Eurasian Brown Bear and Wisent), but some were not. So I wondered how my ideal 8 animal Europe Pack would look. And it was lots of fun, so I did it for all Scenery Packs to date (considering there's more DLC to come) :)

Arctic Pack: Polar Bear, Reindeer, Arctic Wolf, Dall Sheep, Musk Ox, Wolverine, Arctic Hare, Walrus

South America Pack: Llama, Giant Anteater, Jaguar, Colombian White-Faced Capuchin Monkey, Red-Eyed Tree Frog, Maned Wolf, Capybara, Spectacled Bear

Australia Pack: Red Kangaroo, Dingo, Southern Cassowary, Koala, Eastern Blue Tongued Lizard, Common Wombat, Platypus, Tasmanian Devil

Aquatic Pack: King Penguin, Giant Otter, Cuvier's Dwarf Caiman, Grey Seal, Diamondback Terrapin, West Indian Manatee, Fishing Cat, Atlantic Puffin

Africa Pack: African Penguin, Meerkat, Fennec Fox, Southern White Rhinoceros, Sacred Scarab Beetle, Hamadryas Baboon, Addax, Secretary Bird

Europe Pack: European Fallow Deer, Eurasian Lynx, Alpine Ibex. European Badger, Fire Salamander, Red Fox, Barbary Macaque, Wild Boar

Some of those packs look amazing! Knowing that this is very unlikely (impossible), do you have any suggestions? How would your upgrade look?
Greetings
Fishing cat is a good pick for aquatic package

So this is for adding three more Habitat species in each pack or four Habitat species? Then here's my ideas.

South America pack: Capybara, ocelot, and squirrel monkey. Could green anaconda be Exhibit or Habitat? If Habitat, its enclosure have to be like giant version of Exhibit cage.
Btw, Green Anaconda as a habitat animal is easily one of my biggest hopes for the future of PZ

Why does the Arctic Pack not get an exhibit animal? There's some options that could definitely work like wood frogs and viviparous lizards.

My bad, I just forgot about them. The viviparous lizard would be a good fit, I think!

And I love the idea of upgrading the Deluxe Edition! My picks for that would be:

African Leopard
Golden Takin
American Black Bear
Siamang
Madagascar Giant Day Gecko (E)

I'd say of the packs that need this, Deluxe is the one that needs it most desperately as that much money for 3 animals is a ripoff and I will not hear otherwise

Yeah. I too agreed with African leopard (last of Africa's Big Five to be in Planet Zoo) and siamang as a gibbon species. And anyone think of idea of upgrading Deluxe Edition?
  1. African leopard
  2. Any baboon species
  3. Any gibbon species
  4. Dromedary camel
  5. For Exhibit: any of these that Planet zoo yet to have: cobra, chameleon, mantis and toad (that game already have one salamander and one newt)

Well as of the Deluxe Edition, it seems that choices were made as to include species that somewhat mirror the one already in the base, (Thompson-Springbok, P.Hippo-C.Hippo, Komdo-Nile) but exotic enough to make pack buy-able

So I always saw Deluxe as a pack that gives spicy variation on already present species.

With that said I would add these species if we were to turn it into an animal pack:

1. Thompson's Gazelle
2. Pygmy Hippo
3. Komodo Dragon
4. Dromedary Camel
5. Lion Tailed Macaque
6. Coquerels Sifaka
7. Scimitar Horned Oryx
8. Emerald Tree Boa (E)

If that is the goal, I think using the sifaka isn't aligned with that, only because sifaka's move quite dissimilar to other lemur species, so you couldn't really use it based off the other lemurs. I would say the Malaysian or Sumatran tiger would be a good replacement seeing as those are quite common in captivity, especially in the US.

Yep, Sifaka was the biggest stretch here, I wanted to add something on par with Komodo and Pygmy as Oryx and Dromedary seemed boring. But Tiger would definitely do the trick
