Horizons Science fiction or reality regarding physics in ED

Just a few questions I would like answered if anyone knows, I always wondered what is the story behind humans discovering Faster then light travel in Elite Dangerous, how did they overcome such an extraordinary feature ?

Did they reverse engineer thargoid technology from crashed thargoid ships in the past ?

Does the technology behind the frame shift drive for traveling hyper space use methods and equations of the "Alcubierre drive" ?

I know that for FTL you need an infinite amount of energy, so what is this infinite amount of energy that is used to power the frame shift drive to send our ships through hyperspace from one solar system to another because we are constantly refueling our ships with something.

Could one say we are time traveling when we are jumping through hyperspace from one location to another?

I would appreciate if someone can answer each question in my post o7

Alcubierre drive essentially uses EFE which would be required in any form of relativstic (or attempt to circumvent causal limitations)The reality is that there are numbous ways to solve ambinations of these equations under different coordinate transforms which may solve singularities or 'blowing up to infinities' in some situations, but introduce other probnlems under different circumstances. Since FTL travel is not possible, and concepts such as an AD are also fraught with paradoxes, even were they actually a reality, the details of how the imposssible is achieved can only be considered a fiction. To my limited knowledge, the details of Frameshift drives are not divulged even in ficitonal sense. The word "frameshift" however seems to imply some means of translating bewtween inertial frames (again, something impossible) - although the existing lore available reports that Thargoid technologies were used.
I know that for FTL
Given that such is impossible, there is an ever present element of suspension of disbelief for gameplay reasons. As such, one must just accept that somehow the FSD works and the resulting problems (and strangely ignored miracles) resulting from the FTL communication that exists are disregarded.

Taht's not even the beginning of the problem. That a pilot at Beagle point can explain precisely the state there to a pilot within Sol, within milliseconds regardless of their relative motions is enough to unravel the causal framework.

I couldn't pretend to know anything about the Alcuberrie drive theory workings, or relate it in detailed comparison to ED's FSD. Suffice to say from the lore and the previous games in the franchise, ED's FSD is an improved generation of the hyperdrive from FFE and Frontier, where instead of taking days to weeks depending on jump (to the pilot it seemed almost instant, although time had passed when arriving at the destination system) it now takes just the number of seconds experienced. I would think the hyperdrive in supercruise mode is an improvement on Alcuberrie where only cold fusion is needed. In FFE, optional military drives used fission with radioactive waste leftover tonnage, but now all the ships use some form of cold fusion just requiring a certain amount of hydrogen as fuel. Also, supercruise did not exist in FFE (circa 50 years prior to 3300), where ships could accelerate up to high fractions of lightspeed with normal thrusters using a "stardreamer" device for the pilot to speed up time in his mind only. imo, supercruise just seems another form of star trek warp speed, somehow only needing the power from the generator which seems to only need hydrogen fuel. Altogether, always under suspension of disbelief.
