Take it from a biologist, "natural" has nothing to do with good (or bad). We've already transformed our lives with technology. Whatever we can make better, we should. Growing old and decrepit is not some grand gift from nature, it's the tragedy of of a sentient biological creature. If we can improve on that, we should.
Something I always wondered about.
What does Natural mean anyways.
Whats the Difference between Chemical and Natural.
Where is the Border where you start calling something Chemical rather than Natural.
I mean the moment we Cook a Damn Egg it is certainly no longer in its Natural State
Even less when we mix it with Oil and Salt in a Fry Pan lol.
As for the Reversible Aging.
Well.
I think its indeed been on the Horizon for a few Years already.
It might not be useful for our Life on Earth. But if we really Plan to get our Race out of this Solar System at some Point. This Technology might become an Requirement Fairly Fast.
After all. Even the closer Ring of Solar Systems around us. Is stuff up to 15 Light Years Away.
And I doubt that our First Trips will be at more than 0.1 the Speed of Light. And even that is an pretty ambitioned Goal.
So unless we Plan to Send a Generation Ship on which the 3rd-4th Generation then is Finally the one which will Colonize. We should start thinking about ways to Increase Peoples Lifespan a bit.
Be it by Cold Sleep or by simply preventing them from Aging.
