Any advice on the way to scoop up those cargo canisters I come across sometimes?

Newcomer / Intro Scooping cargo

1. select the canister you want to pickup by aiming at them and pressing the "target in front of me" button.
2. open your cargoscoop
3. The target image on the left of your sensor will change into a representative view of your cargo scoop
4. try to keep the cross on said view aiming at the canister
5. fly towards it with less than 40 (is that meters per second?!)
6. enjoy your illegal cargo
6a. eject your cargo when a fed starts scanning you - repeat with step 1 when he's gone.
7. sneak into a station with a black market (found under "contacts") and sell it there.

Hi ruger_shooter,
scooping cargo flyin around is possible.
But keep in mind it's marked as stolen an can only be sold at the Black Market.
If you get scanned by the station or hunters you might get in trouble.

Hi here is a tip from thirty years ago.
Travel up to the cargo canister then come to a full stop.
Wait.
The cargo will drift away.
Realign with cargo
Scoop as normal
Works like charm.
