Scooping in an Adder (bug?)

I was able to scoop rocks in my sidewinder with admittedly a little difficulty. I have to use maneuvering thrusters to make tiny course corrections and carefully, slowly, ease my ship into the rock using the targeting reticle on the bottom left. It was painful, but I could do it... most of the time.

However I'm not able to do this in the Adder. I have been trying to scoop a 35% platinum rock - and even when it's dead-center on the targeting reticle, and I ease my ship slowly into it, I will hear a *bump* and the rock will bounce off the center of the reticle! I can still see it there - it's dead center, then I hear the bump, then the rock (still in the reticle) starts moving away in a different direction from the reticle!

Is this a bug? The targeting reticle for the cargo scoop doesn't seem to be aligned with where the cargo scoop is actually located on the Adder's hull. Has anyone else had any problems with this?

If other Adder pilots could chime in on this, maybe we could get this fixed?

With some ships the nose interferes with the scoop sometimes; it's all in the shape of the ship and the position of the scoop. Just lift up a little, as Marek suggested.

I noticed when shooting at cargo hatches on ships that I can *never* hit the adder's. I'm wondering if the hatch itself is a little glitchy.

The adder is trickier than any of the other starter ships because the hatch is quite far back on a long straight hull so it's VERY easy to misjudge it and if the cargo has any momentum then your alignment will go out.

It's just more tricky though, that's all.
