Scorpii

Hi all,

Returning from a trip to the 65k line, I just thought I'd ask around to see whether anyone else had noticed these interesting formations Close to home. For a couple of jumps now I noticed a star Formation that appeared unchanging even after a couple of jumps. Zooming back in galmap I identified These as a row in space of non-standard-sequence stars such as V1292 SCORPII or CD-41 11032.

Anyone been there or know why these are so highly visible as opposed to other stars? I've been seeing them now from more than 1400LY away.

I've noticed them before, they're very striking, and visible over long distances.

They're both very bright stars in real life, though. V1292 Scorpii is an OIII blue giant with a BV (bright and blue) companion. CD-41 11032 is also a BV star with a companion. It's entirely feasible that they'd be noticeable over distances compared to the standard spread of orange and red stars.
