Scorpion compass wheel on HUD

How do I locate (determine direction) to my "marked" planetary target i.e., minor wreckage/distress signal/irregular marker etc. while deployed in my Scorpion?
The compass rose on its HUD doesn't seem to have a marker like the Scarab does. I need to get out and use the compass rose on my helmets HUD to get my bearings.

Am I missing something...a way to turn on the/a compass marker?

the navigation panel commonly used for navigation puposes works a charm for me?
well that and the white dot direction finder for the now marked hud marker once assigned in said panel therein
you have a compass rose in the scorp @the top of the hud too ?
on atmospheric worlds I can just follow my nose
be aware irreg markers etc may vanish if not interacted within a certain amount of time
eg was on my way there in scorp from a couple of kliks out went down stairs for a snack half way there...…………
came back to play and it was gone
