They have already nailed the sound effects in everything I have seen in the videos, the sound effects guy is a genius. Bafta winner.

I still can't get over how good this game looks. It's like... you expect less because you're used to it, but then Frontier delivers beyond your wildest expectations.

And then you're like... I gotta post useless posts on the forums about it!!

And I have. I am truly impressed.

Normally, with games like this where it already has a fanbase from a previous game, there is a bit of worry but in general optimism, and probably over expectating, but not (in our opinion) having unrealistic expectations, just setting the bar high, hoping, but are also half preparing to be disappointed in someway. That's how it normally is and it usually ends up in disappointment because our expectations were probably too high.

But these guys somehow just stepped over our bars like they weren't there.

yeah I noticed the jump cut in the hanger. Also the time of landing was almost 4am. Clearly he had the dedication to bear through the spinning sidewinder loading screen and get the footage together on Saturday morning. I'm sure we'll see more good stuff from Scott.

He said numerous times that there are edits and rotating ship problem mostly don't work. He just edited it to show actual stuff, not bugs. He gave very fair preview of alpha 3 in my opinion. And what's most important - he openly enjoyed it.

I would have thought there may have been at least one tribal SC fan with something to offer.

You don't have to be a 'tribal' fan of SC to see that alpha 3 has issues.

true, but the only issues I have seen are issues which are due to it being in alpha. It would have been v poor form to have judged the bugs based on an alpha.

imo he completely goes about it in the right way and judges how the game will be once the issues are ironed out.... after all, they will be ironed out.

If as a reviewer you cant separate technical glitches which will be removed, from the meat of the game, you should not be reviewing alpha code.

However he nailed it, and made a fantastic video which sold the game nicely.
