Scouts were great addition to danger.

Last night I was jumping around hunting that perfect planet tech picture. I had lot's of exploration data onboard from planets and systems. Suddenly I was thargoid dicted. I thought well I just wait and go away. Then I saw two red circles on radar, I had never seen those. I started turning around to see what they are when the hell broke loose. I started taking damage and tried to escape but my systems malfunctioned and I blew up. So things apparently ain't anymore that wait for the thargoid to leave and go on your business. Luckily rebuy was only 600k but that experience was something. It all came out from the blue sky. Didn't expect it at all. Well done for raising the danger bar FD. :D

I hopped into some Non-Human USS (Threat 4) yesterday and was immediately attacked by 4 cute Nano-Thargies.
After dancing around with them (lost ~5% Hull of my DBX) I got bored and jumped on.

PS.
I did manage to throw away that very DBX later that day by hopping into a Threat 8 USS thou.
Initially easily survived due to drifting FA OFF max-speed for some ~30sec (ship got shutdown) but since I didn't really see anything, I turned around and checked out what was firing at me a 2nd time :D
(well, that one got me a rebuy after 30sec, but at least I respawned at the very destination I was flying to anyway. An angry flower, a huge array of Drones and some additional nano-Thargies isn't a good place to "check out a 2nd time" hehe)

Scouts are an appropriate response to the 'noobz cannot engage the aliens content' problem , good move FD, thanks !

Now would be a good time to address the space hippies problem then :D (yes, this one AGAIN).

Remember the space hippies who gave you good money too and are waiting for more than your usual pewpewpew yaaaaaaaaaaawny routine ? What's in store for those customers FD ?

Uh, what did you say ? Q4 ? Seems pretty far away to be honest...

Wait, are you saying that hyperdictions are now dangerous as they can contain Scouts?
Just to be sure, you didn't drop into one of those NHSS?

Wow. That's interesting. Thanks for the information.

Yep, I was hyperdicted by two flowers. My ship shut down normally but when they jumped away I saw their wake's in radar and two red circles. Apparently flowers dropped the scouts cause they attacked after flowers had jumped away. Or then it's just scripted the way that you have a small room to escape before scouts start to shoot. But I didn't know what the red circles were.

I have class 3 shield in my exploration asp. When the first hit landed I started jumping sequence. When I was almost able to jump my modules malfunctioned and I was sitting duck. I have no weapons in my ship.

Looks like it's time to add a bit more armor to my DBX. Never got hyperdicted. Knowing my luck I will get hyperdicted soon and get Scouts firing at me, but I just want to look at some alien ships without having to fight for survival.

Where did I put those AX thingies?

Interesting times.

I love the Thargoid scouts but they have to have a combat bond increase.

10k is rediculous for a ship that is comparable to an expert viper bounty.

I agree with this.

I suspect FD did it this way because there can be quite a lot of them in an instance, and large, powerful player ships can crush them pretty easy.

I still think they need a huge buff to the bond though.
