scramble scramble Squadron Scores

Current score system favours only super huge squadrons

those who are 450+ Players are allways doing more trading/Battle/etc than the tons of smaller ones

Because of that, the squadron scoing system should be Squadron scores/number of Squadmembers to break it down to the real outcome per player

Just look at football, would it be fair to play 11 vs 80 players? Can you see the fault......

On PC in season 2, one of the leaderboards was won by a 14-person squadron, and one by a 25-person squadron. Many of the squadrons they beat were considerably larger.

Fourth place on the PC trade board was basically obtained by two people who really liked core mining, versus several bigger squadrons. (They didn't quite like it enough to maintain third place, but were in first place briefly)

Sure, an organised and engaged 400-person squadron will beat anyone. There aren't - except for the exploration boards - any such squadrons. And an organised and engaged 20-person squadron can be extremely competitive with a less organised 400-person squadron. Realistically, the 400-person squadron is going to have 20 people doing most of the work anyway.

Dividing by the number of people in the squadron would just cause the opposite problem. Let's say we're both in a squadron and you get 10 million trade points an hour, and I get 11 million trade points an hour. Our score is therefore the average - 10.5 million trade points per hour. ... Or I could leave and set up my own squadron without anyone else in it, and get 11 million trade points an hour without you holding me back. It might as well just *be* an individual board at that point - which is hardly the point of squadrons: the "top 10" band in CGs is already there to record massive individual contributions.

I think you described a 0.3 % situation, i am talking about a maths fact which is just wrong
We have over 11500 Squadrons out there, and sure some ppl do void opal runs only those special trade runs, but those are just a very low percentage number

I don't think it would be a good idea to put scores/squadmember because it is way easier to organize a few people to a specific task (any task) than many people. So basically the small or one person squadrons would always win, which doesn't make any sense.

I see the problem because especially combat rank is very hard to get in a small squad.

But i think some sort of weight classes might be a workable compromise. Basically every Medal is given out five times for tiny (1-100 members) , small (101-200), medium (201-300), large (301-400), and huge (401-500) squadrons. Although this would make certain Medals in the larger Squadrons quite easy to obtain since there is very little opposition...

Don't know if this is easily changable.
