Scrapers engineers/faction

A large salavaging group which locate in previous war zones salvaging ships. A faction which lurks in asteroid belts and hidden in unknown religions. The scrappers produce large salvaging ships but they have fighters. They are not highest of tech but they crude and deadly ships and weapons.

New optional internal ideas
Leach limpets attach to people's hull and drain shields until the limpet is overloaded (detonates) or called back.

Emp limpets: these are limpets which shoot out into the surrounding area and release and emp blast send ships useless for however many seconds (depends on level) a range of equipment can be used to counter these.

Hardpoints

Thermite cannon: thermite charge which when fired travels until it gets with in a proximity of 600km radius sends a heat blast which of the shields up will over heat all systems within the ship and if the shields down can of now having the right equipment can render certain modules useless.

SX-5 harpoon: able to hit ships and reel them in, if not careful, things like repair limpets, enough thrust or thicker armour can render theses useless.

NDS: the nebular defensive system although a defence System it can be used to turn the tide battle. Once deployed the chemical compound is triggered by an enemy or hold the trigger down for a timer. It releases a thick cloud of green, yellow and black smoke which emits high amount of electricity which can mess with ships systems from speeding up the ship, forcing guns to retracts as well as being able to make the ships shield reactive until clear the of the smoke.


Ships:

Horde v1-3: small fighters of the scavenger crew uses. An inbred mix of imperial, federations and unknow technology. These ships reach some of the fastest speeds most people have ever seen, using a unknown energy supply.

The unknown power station multiplys fuel massively. From from the tests, the scavengers find it is very unstable...
