Scrappy paint jobs on ships after damage ?

I know you can repair all and fly with pristine ships but does anyone else not want to repair the paintwork so they can show off the battle scars ?

I definitely don't reapply paint if I can avoid that It looks more realistic that way. But hey, remember security loves clean ships...and will scan you if you won't have fresh coat of paint.
