Screen Shots question.

I've never did a screen shot let alone post one. I've read often that with no picture it didn't happen, so I taped on the keyboard key that states print screen a couple of times and nothing seemed to have happened.

I just entered a system to drop off some cargo and the distance from the star to the station is 1,760,071Ls
It was a wee bit farther but I had gone some distance before I noticed it.

The game's screenshot key is F10. Which will save a screen capture in bitmap (.bmp) format somewhere in your user account's folders. I don't recall the exact location, cause I think saving huge screen shots as bitmaps is silly, so use a third party screen grabber to take .png captures.

Anyway, print screen still works, it just doesn't save anything anywhere (without third party tools) but the Windows clipboard, which is overwritten each time, and would need to be manually pasted into an image editor for you to use it.

Check in your bindings what key its bound to, F10 on mine.

I typed alt and f 10 and found the picture. But the process of getting it to here is beyond my abilities.

Just looked in the system map at system named DEA MORTONA, I was headed to SAMOS DEPOT.
There are two stars in it, while the one on top has 5 planets and two moons, all of which are measured in the million and 3/4 range from the star.
The bottom one has 8 planets, no moons and they measure 12.58Ls to 2559.13ls from the star.
