Screening Shell XFX?

A quick thought...

If I apply the Screening Shell XFX to a frag-turret set to "fire-at-will", is it going to do the same job as a PDT - thus freeing up a utility slot for yet another SB?

Obviously, I probably shouldn't expect it to be quite as effective at shooting down missiles as a PDT but will it be capable of shooting down, say, reverb torp's?

Seems like the two potential issues would be whether the turret can track well enough to target a torp' and whether the AI is smart enough to shoot down a torp' rather than firing on the ship that launched it instead.

Anybody tested this out, or want to try it?

Bah!

That's kind of ironic given that half the time, in CZ's, whenever I press the "target highest threat" button my scanner decides to target a bloody missile/torpedo.
And yet we're saying that a turret - which presumably uses the same threat AI as the scanner - won't target missiles/torp's?

Ah well, it was a nice thought. :(

How many frag shots does it take to kill a torp? I always thought we needed a seeker to take them out.

Pretty sure those are dead ones though, but I know exactly what you mean here!
