Newcomer / Intro Screenshots/new port type?

Hey,

I've just come across a new port type i've never seen before and wanted to post a picture, but how do you do screenshots in this game? Prnt screen comes out black.

Its at Any Na/Petit Port

F10 and there's alt-F10 (I, uh, believe) for a screenshot in Resolution x 4.

Why the hell is it up side down? Its not in my photo on my machine. Its a standard outpost with loads of adverts on and space for large ships from the looks of it.

I've been in that system a few time and have never noticed that. I may need to head that way and check it out.

Pics are stored in Users\<your user name>\pictures\frontier developments. At least that's where mine are.

Looks like a modified outpost with 3 small and one medium port instead of the usual 2 small/2 medium layout.

Thanks for this thread. I was vaguely aware of f10 being screen shot, but had mapped 100% engine to f10 so didnt think it was active. Just discovered 2000 screen shots taking up 10GB.

That model was introduced with the 1.07 update, I think.

I saw a Coriolis starport the other day with two long extension arms. I grabbed a few screenies, but forgot to rescue them when I reformatted on Friday. The station itself had red lights instead of yellow across its surface. It looked badass.

There seems to have been a server-side update too - missions have a bit more variety now. I had a 45kcr hunter-killer mission against an Eagle and a 190kcr one against a Federal Dropship (that was a total bar steward to kill.)

Advertising holograms are normally found at commercial outposts. I can't think of any off the top of my head right now, but I have found a few.

F10 = Normal Res
Alt-F10 = Hi res, but can only be used in Solo Mode.

I've seen, and been hit by, those rotating arms, but not the Outpost with ads.

I got a nice surprise when I arrived at Mars High station in Sol the other day with it's different colour scheme and parks with palm trees inside the docking area. Looks well cool. A nice change from the copy and paste mega-industiral look of 99% of the others I have visited since launch day.
