PvP SDC imploded?

Following on from the recent healies4feelies post I saw and a twitter comment from SDC account saying ”Care Bears won” are the rumours of SDC imploding True?

Not posting to gloat, more a very surprised person thinking that SDC would carry on bringing its own unique “gameplay experience” for as long as Elite continued to be played?

I wouldn't write them off. SDC are the ones who let everyone settle down and think they went away only to spring some big publicity stunt.

Disappointing if true. They added "gamesmanship". They were to Elite, what Wimbledon was to football not so long back. They were the Vinnie Jones of Elite Dangerous squeezing Gazzers gentleman parts. Amusing :D If you're not from the UK you may need to Google the reference.

I get this. In short I don’t think they hurt the game.

From the little i understand, one or two might have joined NaCl, some have quit, some have joined the PvP hub looking for challenging PvP.

All groups change over time, some grow, some shrink, some just change membership.

However, it is my feeling that any group that forms with the intention of being a PITA towards other players is always going to die out eventually, either through internal confict or external pressure.

At the end of the day, we are social creatures and thrive off the feedback we get from each other. If you have a group made up largely of toxic players, then all you are getting is negative feedback both within and without the group. Sure, they patted each other on the back for their deeds, but underneath it all was pure salt. Too much salt is eventually going to get to you.

Or people growing up and leaving home.

There are a few SDC (keep wanting to type "CDC") guys who provide good content on YT and contribute to the overall game experience more than most others do, but even the greatest, most creative and most dedicated players cannot keep legacy games afloat when updates don't bring new stuff, only limits existing stuff (healies notwithstanding, what stupid concept in the first place).
