Sea Life Sanctuaries

Hello there.
While I would prefer Devs to focus on typical zoo animals first, I was thinking about how could the Frontier include the huge sea life without many controversies, as many people really expects to see them in the future, like at the end of game's life cycle.
Firstly, I thought about ambient large animals appearing randomly swimming in the Planet Outskirts on an Island map. While it has it's pluses, like possibility of inclusion of even a Blue Whale, I know that it would make some people angry to have that little of an interaction with so desired animals.
After watching Ruddi's video about Marine animals, I'm even more convinced that inclusion of something like Sea Life rescue stations, would make much sense.
I thought of it, as you wouldn't be possible of purchasing the sea mammals per sei.
They would just appear randomly in a bad condition, or in a very young age, left by their parents, or just orphaned.
The player's aim would be to get them to the right condition, or raise them, and then, immediately release them to the wild.
I would just make the animals feel bad in any size of enclosure, if they are adult, and are healthy.
This would also make possible to include some bigger animals into the game.
While Blue whale would still be crossed out. There is a facility in NA that once upon a time, adopted an orphaned Gray Whale, and successfully managed to raise it up to the point he could got released back into the wild.
I believe that would allow the developers for strike two birds with one stone- both including the well desired sea life, and instead of violate the animals well being, raise the awareness.

Here's the picture of JJ, orphaned Gray Whale, successfully raised and released back to the wild.

So here’s my thing
As someone who worked at a wildlife rehab with successful releases.
Pinnipeds have a success rate at being reintroduced provided: the patient is old enough to not 100% rely on mother, injury’s heal at an appropriate pace and do not require medicine or antibiotics.
Sea otters, generally adults can be released as there is too much learned behavior for the pups from their mothers.
I can’t say for sure about beluga standing's and needing our help I’m sure they can be rehabilitated and released.
Most Dolphins likely could except orcas.
Now when it comes to baleen whales, out of the question.
While the J.J. story was nice, 3 days after release J.J.s tracker went off and became unknown. I’m not certain J.J. ever continued the migration to the Arctic circle with other gray whales and knew enough to survive without mother.
I would support a rehab station where guests could see animals being rehabilitated for release, if guests can see what all is going on then perhaps their education rate goes up along with your zoos conservation rating.
As for outskirts animals: yes I say let’s do it.

Haha, yeah, as someone who strongly wants cetaceans in PZ above everything else, I would totally hate it if they were included like that. That would reduce them to just being "background decoration" and it would kinda feel like teasing/mocking from Frontier having them in the game, but being unable to really play with them. Honestly, for me having them in the game like that would be worse than not having them in the game at all.
But I would really love having Island/coastal maps.:)

Now about the sanctuaries,I think its a good idea and in the past I also had the same idea about having a cetacean rescue/sanctuary in PZ, but only for career/secenario mode. It just wouldnt fit in neither sandbox, franchise nor challenge mode. All those modes are more or less about your own creative freedom about how to build your zoo and manage your animal population.
As a franchise player who is not into buliding, I also would really dislike it, if I could have my beloved orcas in the game, but then was forced to release them again and not being able to breed them and have my own orca family (pod), raise claves and see them grow and yes, also trade them when I wanted to.
I want to have the freedom to buy, trade and release them or not and make my own decisions about how I run my zoo and manage my animals. And while I cant speak for everyone, I guess many other franchise players would agree with me - and sandbox and challenge players would probaly agree aswell.
Now if this was a new task they would introduce to all game modes it would be different. If you got rescue animals and you would have to care for them and have to release some of them again, while others would be deemed unreleasable and you would have to provide them a forever home. This could be a fun challenge, but it shouldnt be just cetaceans and all those animals should also be avaible on the normal market aswell.

Lets be honest here, there is no true compromise regarding cetaceans in the game anyways. The people who are strongly against it will dislike having them in the game either way and people like me who strongly want them will always miss them if they are not in the game. Which means Frontier will disappoint either side, no matter what.
In German we have the saying "entweder ganz oder gar nicht" which means you either do something complete or not at all. And thats what I think in regards to cetaceans in PZ. Either Frontier adds them in as fully function animals like every other or they should better not include them at all.

Others might disagree, but as much as I want them, I see no point in having them in the game, if Frontier strongly restricts the gameplay with them. This totally wouldnt be fun for me. I actively play PZ since release and have well over 4000 hours now (and no intentions to stop), but if orcas (and other cetaceans) got included in PZ, but not wholly play able like all other animals, I guess that would get me to "rage quit" after a short time.

However, I guess I should clarify that when I talk about cetaceans to include in PZ, I always "only" mean Delphinoideas. So I am not personally interested in having any baleen whales and non-dolphin toothed whales etc. in the game. But I am also not against it.
So while this system might be ok for these whales and it wouldnt bother me as much as long as I could play with my orcas normally, but I still think it wouldnt be ideal.
Rescue for those huge whales is already pretty unrealistic anyways, at least in most cases, so if Frontier wanted to include them, they should just do so, but with no strings attached.

So yeah to make it short, a sanctuary would be great as a career zoo, but shouldnt be forced in the other modes and even outskirt animals could be fun, as long as they are also included as "normal" animals in the game(y)
