Newcomer / Intro Search for a simple how and where to get the Guardian FSD Booster

I have been searching forums, Google, Reddit for a good simple how to for this. Unfortunately there many out there, and unfortunately they don't all say the same things. Can someone just post a simple step by step that is current? I saw one that said go to HD 63154 and one that said go to Synuefe NL-N C23-4. Order of what to get and in what order changes from guide to guide.

Help!

OK so the correct place to go is HD 63154 and not the other one.

There are multiple places where you can go - the tutorials usually focus on the one they think is easiest to reach and/or to plunder. If you want the full (as of now) list, I'd recommend a visit to the Canonn website, subsection Guardian Structures https://canonn.science/codex/guardian-structure/ . If you scroll down, you'll see both HD and Synuefe listed there, as well as three other sites which all will yield a module blueprint (segment). For guns or fighters, you'll need to visit another type of site.

It doesn't matter. Both sites have an active Data Terminal that gives a module blueprint fragment. According to the Wiki HD 63154 is surrounded by rough terrain while Synuefe NL-N C23-4 has more sentinels than other sites. There are more Guardian sites you can go to than these two. See below (expand the Known Terminals table):

I used this guide. And yes, it is about Synuefe NL-N C23-4 :)

For me, Col 173 Sector GS-J B25-4, planet D2 (around 30.000 ls from the main star) is recommended for the module blueprints. It is much easier, because it is usually much brighter there, the gravity is friendly, and the nearby terrain is very flat so that landing a large ship close to the structure is easier. This system also has some Notable Phenomena and a terraformable water world near the entry star.

HD 63154 worked for my Krait, but finding a landing site within 2 km of the site is tiresome. Image of the site I used for exact orientation: Source: https://imgur.com/g4yPEQs

I agree with the other posts that suggest SYNUEFE NL-N C23-4 is a much, much easier site to visit though. You can land right next to the site there and let your top mounted Point Defense shoot down any Sentinel missiles for you.

I found this walkthrough by TheOriginalB to be helpful, particularly the map: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/walkthrough-guardian-module-blueprints.438289/

Thanks guys. I did try to do it at HD 63154, but having a really hard time finding the pylons and running into crappy terrain. The idea, that you can easily find and kill 6 pylons in 6 minutes seems daunting.

So I have just landed at the Guardian Site on SYNUEFE NL-N C23-4, and of course, right now it is on the Dark side of the planet. So I have logged out and will try it later, hopefully the site will be in daylight when I try later. We will see. Hoping with better light and terrain, I can actually accomplish this. I hate SRV driving.

Good luck with that - I have never found that site in anything but pitch black. Night Vision is essential and even then I still have trouble locating all the obelisks for data - I can just about manage to get the pylon locations first time now though.

If that is the site I got my guardian stuff then don’t expect too much help from the daylight, it takes it from as black as a coal cellar with the lights out to depressingly dark, gloomy and hazy. Make sure your night vision system works.

Hmm, I haven't done the Guardian run in about a year - think I'll clamp a point defence onto the nose of my DBX and give 'er another go, just for yuks. :)

Aye, indeed when i first arrived there it was pitch black - but to me it only added to the atmospherics of the place.
I remember badly fumbling the first run, not so much the second but still a fumble. Think i got a blueprint on the third run (night vision is a must)

Then it gets routine - for a while i was doing runs only to get Guardian Technology Components - they have fixed drop points and they're one of the most used materials to unlock guardian stuff

I've just arrived at Synuefe NL-N c23-4 in my ASPX and am struggling to find somewhere to land. Tried for half an hour last night and in the end I gave up and logged off. I did see a map online showing a good landing spot but when I get an aerial view from the ship it's hard to match the terrain to the map even with night vision switched on. Does anyone have any info regarding landing areas? Is there a minimum distance I need to be so that my point defence will still be of use? I'm contemplating going off to find somewhere close where I can get a DBX to make landing a bit easier.

Thanks everyone 👍🏼

I have found DBX (with two point defence on top) to be one of the easiest ships to land at these sites.
Park as close as possible.
Have a good Scout around in your ship first, get an overall idea of the site layout.
Minimum distance... I don't know, I park as close as possible.
