Season 4 PC Squadron results - graphs and analysis

On each graph, points are on the Y-axis, and squadron position on the leaderboard is on the X-axis. Both scales are logarithmic. The grey line is the numbers for the previous season, and all stats are PC only. As in previous seasons, the approximate power-law distribution continues, allowing estimates of total activity to be made without spending too long reading the boards.

Anti Xeno (104 pages)
Winners: Anti-Xeno Initiative (4th time) with ~21% of all points. Lavigny's Legion and Vampyr Ponys take the other trophies.
A strong performance by the top four squadrons, combined with higher performance across the chart, means that the total AX points scored are up about 50% on season 3. AXI get another win, but only just.

Combat (752 pages)
Winners: Anti-Xeno Initiative with ~1% of all points. Fatherhood Alpha and Dark Enterprise take the other trophies.
The top few squadrons are slightly lower than before, with both first/second and third/fourth being very close. Otherwise the squadrons are scoring slightly more than last season's equivalent place, moving the estimate of total combat points up by about 5%.

CQC (83 pages)
Winners: CQC Discord (4th time) with ~14% of all points. Wanderers of Witchspace and Freelancers Alliance take the other trophies.
A very close fight for the top two places pushed record scores there, and seems to have brought points up across the board as well, perhaps as matches got easier to find. Total points up about 25% on season 3, and slightly up on season 1 as well. CQCD certainly needing to watch their six in future, with Wanderers getting stronger every season and other challengers coming up too.

Exploration (832 pages)
Winners: Distant Worlds with ~4% of all points. EDSM and Distant Worlds 3 take the other trophies.
Exploration again dominated in the top 5 by the five Distant Worlds squadrons, who are back to being considerably higher than everyone else - season 3 mainly taking place while they were a bit further from places to sell their data. Perhaps in season 5, this board might look a little different ... or perhaps not. As a result of all that Distant data, total points are up about 35% on season 3.

Powerplay (43 pages)
Winners: Federal Liberal Command (2nd time) with ~11% of all points. Granny's Greatest and Aisling Wing Command take the other trophies.
Winters main squadron take a second gold, in a relatively quiet season compared with Season 3. All four seasons have seen Federal Liberal Command and Aisling Wing Command take one of the trophies, with the other winner being more varied.

Trade (767 pages)
Winners: Society of Greybeards with ~1% of all points. Freelancers Alliance and Fatherhood Alpha take the other trophies.
Total points up about 20% on season 3, with all but the top two places scoring much higher this time round. Not quite as busy as the core-mining rush of the first season, though.

The generalist boards (Combat, Exploration, Trade) all have about 90 more pages than last season, continuing the trend from previous seasons of a steadily rising number of (at least slightly) active squadrons. Trade has been the most varied board so far in terms of winners, with ten separate squadrons winning trophies there across the first four seasons ... while Exploration trophies have so far only been won by the five Distant Worlds squadrons.

Cobra Wing is still the most varied squadron, with four different types of trophy, followed by The Winged Hussars with three types. It'll likely be a long time before any squadron has all seven - though an individual player who had optimally switched squadrons each season could theoretically have six of the seven types by now and pick up the final one this season if they guess right.
