On each graph, points are on the Y-axis, and squadron position on the leaderboard is on the X-axis. Both scales are logarithmic. The light grey line (diamond marker) is the numbers for the previous measured season. As in previous seasons, the approximate power-law distribution continues allowing estimates of total activity to be made without spending too long reading the boards. Results are based on late measures of the current season boards due to known bugs with the "last season" boards, and so may not reflect final outcomes exactly.
(Political is excluded, because there are well-known exploits to allow very high scores, and because it's not clear even without the exploits what it's supposed to be measuring: the in-game description of "large and happy faction" is clearly wrong - possibly this will change if they ever implement BGS happiness properly)
Anti Xeno (215 pages)
Winners: Anti-Xeno Initiative, Project Chaos, Gilgamesh Corps
As might be expected, the end of the Thargoid War and the removal of most convenient sources of targets leads to a significant drop-off in AX activity, even more so outside the top 100. For the first time for a very long time, Trade moves ahead of AX on the estimate of total credit earnings.
Combat (945 pages)
Winners: The Order of Dripnificence, Lavigny's Legion, Swords of Mahkai
And the end of the war also sees a slight reduction in combat totals - but also a more distinct split between "AX squadrons" and "combat squadrons", with a completely different set of names.
CQC (30 pages)
Winners: We Rock You Roll, Swords of Makhai, Black Swans
Not much change in CQC compared with last season. Third place is a little provisional at the moment, as the fourth-placed squadron could still make up the gap with a few hours of solid play.
Exploration (1034 pages)
Winners: Stellanebula Project, Intergalactic Astronomical Union, Sidewinder Syndicate
After last season's record, a drop-off in total participation isn't unexpected, although the total remains above 1000. The estimated amount, on the other hand - perhaps boosted by the recent CG and by more people getting their LYR rank - is one of the highest ever recorded.
Powerplay (200 pages)
Winners: Federal Liberal Command, Federal Republic Command, Swords of Mahkai
A slight drop in participating squadrons compared with the first full season, but not that much. This season had the full effect of the merit multiplier, so is marginally higher overall - this likely reflects about the same level of underlying activity.
Trade (896 pages)
Winners: Pilots Community Network Squad, Endurance Exploration, The Winged Hussars
Trade is back down below 1000 participating pages, but sees a significant increase in total amounts to again be one of the highest on record excluding special CG distortions. With the recent upgrade bringing some significant commodity price changes, there may be more to come in this area.
Other comments
As expected, the end of the Thargoid War has resulted in noticeable reductions in those boards primarily relying on it.
Next season will see the effects of colonisation - this might redirect a lot of activity away from things which directly affect the leaderboards, while of course having its own very visible effects on the galaxy as the number of inhabited systems rises.
