Second CMDR for $15 !

Woohoo! ED is on sale for $15.00 at the Frontier Store! I just bought a second copy and will have a fresh new CMDR without having to give up my main CMDR's stuff.

As I said... Woohoo! :D

Yeah, but would you buy seasons for that second account?

I would buy a second account if it weren't for the need to also purchase Horizons. This holds me back.

We need a second slot or the ability to buy extra slots tied to the same account.

I already bought Horizons for my primary account. I figure my noob account doesn't need it right away. I can wait a year for the sale on it too. :)

Fair point...however, my main driver for wanting a fresh start is to get the new spawn point that is on a planet surface. As it is right now, Horizons Beta will be the only chance I have to experience that...I'm just not ready to melt my Anaconda and Clipper.

Well it's on sale in both store and steam. I think you can gift it from both now

You should be able to gift it without Steam but you can gift it with Steam 100%.

Edit: Page where you can click on the gift button to gift the game.

I was just thinking the other day that the current community goal would be so much easier with a second account. Have commander backup sitting in one place buying up up rare goods and dropping them off to the main account.

Currency conversion in play there. Steam will base price in us$ at a set price and then have a pre determined factor for UK sales to convert to UK£, whilst Frontier will base in £ and convert to $. Basically Steam will want to be $14.99 and let other currencies convert whereas Frontier will price at £9.99 and do the same. All because someone in marketing once decided that there is a significant benefit from charging .99 instead of 1.00 and that consumers get confused by any other pricing, but apparently the same reasoning doesn't apply to customers in other country's

Mmmm, I think I'll wait until a multiple commanders option is implemented. Although it could be a long wait ... :)
