Hi All
I'm just in the process of stripping out some engineered modules and either re-fitting them to some ships I've already got, or just stripping them out and selling off the ships. (it's starting to drive me nuts as I've got literally over 300 engineered or part engineered modules I'm trying to sort out at the moment).
I've been meaning to do this for some time now and I'm at that stage where I'm actually tackling the 'problem'.
Which leaves quite a few modules part engineered and other fully engineered modules that I can't see I'm ever going to use again. (Those modules in particular that have been superseded by more current variety's that have made them obsolete in some cases).
Anyhow, the gist of this is a proposal to have in the game a new 'dealership' that will either give you an exchange of engineered modules, either an exchange for credits (price depending on the amount of engineering that module has), or its traded in and those materials and data used to build that module are then given back to the player, (the materials and data will of course only be awarded back until your maximum quota is reached. All 'spare' mats and data surpassing these varying figures will then be lost in the exchange, no credit reimbursement is included in this exchange though).
This would be the basic level of the dealership. You could of course expand that whereby the dealer might offer you a fully or part engineered module (you don't possess perhaps) in exchange for the module you are wanting to get rid of. That of course is getting more complicated so perhaps a straightforward mechanic in the first example I proposed might be more doable.?
Any thoughts, suggestions or a yay or nay approach welcome, I just wanted to know players views on this, and whether this kind of dealership would be used if it was available.
Edit.. Apologies to the moderators
, I should've put this new post in the Suggestions section, so thanks for moving it!
