Second hardpoint loadout.

I just wanted to ask everyone of you about your opinions regarding the following:

The ability to switch between loadouts.
It works like this: You can carry up to two hardpoints per slot. So for example you fly a Vulture, you can switch between two C3 pulse lasers and two C3 cannons.
This requiers your hardpoints to be retract, switch the hardpoints (this also takes time) and deploy them again. I haven't planned this for tiny hardpoints (utility mounts) but ... why not?

Now the result should be to add more diversity between loadouts rather than the common "Equip as much Pulse Lasers as you can!" loadout due to the annoying shield meta.

So after the shields are taken down, 4xC2 Multicannons can quickly melt a Python's hull ;).

As long as the time between switching was long enough, I guess this could work. I would also help if you had to spend internal compartment space to hold them.
So if you wanted to switch hardpoints on a sidewinder, you'd need to install two class 1 hardpoint storage, go into the right panel and select "switch loadout" and wait 15-30 seconds while the loadout switched.

Excuse me, I actually thought about this but I didn't mention it.

For every C3 weapon you have to have atleast a C3 internal compartment slot. This means that you equip the weapon inside the ship. Otherwise it wouldn't create diversity as some have stated (though I wouldn't think it is OP).

Thanks!

Thoughts?

Nope. It makes loadout choice a no-brainer with no drawbacks.

You would gain even less diversity between loadouts. ALL loadouts would be shield eating guns-->hull destroying weapons.

I think it would be OP to be honest, as it negates getting caught with your pants down. Ie when hunting NPCs or more agile CMDR ships, my loadout is different from when i am going after Condas and CMDRs in bigger ships.
