Hardware & Technical Secunia Personal Software Inspector will cease to work on 20th April 2018

I am not sure if anyone uses Secunia PSI to ensure their PC applications are up to date, but I have found it very useful for the last couple of years. Unfortunately it will cease to function as of 20th April this year. It would seem that Flexera do not want to maintain it going forward.

Thank you for your interest in PSI. PSI is Flexera’s free computer security solution that identifies missing security patches on user’s private PC, and automatically installs them when possible.

This product is reaching End-of-life on April 20, 2018, and therefore, no longer available. On April 20, 2018, existing installations of PSI will no longer function and should be uninstalled.

Flexera remains committed to delivering best-in-class Software Vulnerability Management solutions for businesses.

There are potentially a few alternatives ie SuMo, Kaspersky Free Software Updater, Ninite.

Unfortunately everything has an end

In another register, I use Freemake Video Downloader to record the Youtube videos (and especially the videos of ED)

I just noticed that now, they allow only 3 free minutes per video, otherwise it is necessary to take a subscription

I hope that ED trailers will never exceed 3 minutes in the future ... :)

Otherwise I will have to look for another software
