I have dropped in several unidentified signal's that turn out to be Security Force ships fighting each other. Sometimes it's only two, sometimes three or four of them going at it. I am guessing that while engaging with pirates, one of them must have accidently shot their partner (you all know this bug). Which made one of them "wanted" immediately. Has anyone else seen this?

No, but I have had a security Eagle swoop down through my lasers giving me a bounty and causing every security ship to attack me.
Saw this yesterday, but I think it was at a nav beacon. I suspect that the one cop was ousted as dirty, and his partner decided it was his duty to dispense justice.
This needs to be address TBH. If it's a one off minor hit (accident), they should give you a warning... not go all out jihad on you!
Maybe one of the officers had been docking with the other one's wife?
I've seen this before. Some of them are Federal, and some are System. As the two are opposed at the moment - they indulge in a bit of shooty-shooty

I ran into a group of about 6 of them shooting each other up, Sunday night. They seemed evenly matched, 3 vs 3.

If there are really cops from both the invading Feds and Eranin's native government hanging around there, it could be possible that a target shows up as clean for the Eranin system (still independent), but is wanted in the Federation!
