Security Guards

One of the staff options is security guards i have not seen these in action, i assume they can stop protestors but what else?

Maybe some of the same things as they do in Planet Coaster?
This is the information from when they where added to that game:

• New 'Security Guards' staff type added
• Helps deter crime and littering
• Spots, chases, and ejects pickpockets from the park
• Retrieves and returns stolen cash from the pickpockets to their victims if caught before leaving the park
• Security Guard’s energy levels decreases when chasing a miscreant and replenishes when they are not
• Spots and ejects vandals from the park
• Can be told to eject guests the player may suspect are pickpockets or vandals
• Guests will not litter in view of security guards, holding on to the litter for another period of time

Shoot gorillas when a small kid falls into their enclosure?
I hope as directors of our own zoo we get to make the policy decisions. I would save the gorilla. JK I don't actually expect the management sim to get that detailed.
But it does seriously drive me crazy that zoos kill highly endangered genetically valuable animals to save people (or their progency) who are too ing stupid to follow the rules. That's just natural selection at work and there is no individual human who is genetically unique or valuable.

I think they shouldn't kill the Animals. Often it is just because of stupidity that People are in the Enclosures. It should be tried to save them but if they are in there because of their own stupid Actions then it's their own fault if they die.
I hate People that want to pet the cute Polar Bears or whatever and climb over the Fence and then there's a risk that the Animals get shot😞

Security guards are there to help keep crime down in your zoos. They won't be taking on any escaped animals as that's a job for the animal professionals but they'll help to deal with any criminal activity such as vandals and pickpockets. Guests committing crimes can be ejected from your zoo if caught by a Security Guard.

I read this thread late🤣 But that's good to know.

So how will the Security Guards react to escaped animals?

I remember not too long ago, someone at a zoo decided they wanted to get a selfie with a Jaguar. This woman climbed into the exhibit, and got mauled by the jaguar. The jaguar survived, and the woman luckily survived.

Funny enough that was actually the Wildlife World Zoo where this happened which I was talking about in the Rides Topic. She eventually apologized and the Jaguar was luckily not killed like Harambe. https://www.abc15.com/news/region-w...o-aquarium-and-safari-park-in-litchfield-park
