Other than the scenario where a SC patrolling security ship chases you to an outpost, is it normal - now or in past - for security ships to be stationed at an outpost?
So far, in my week of play, I'd never ran into security ships permanently patrolling outposts - just the bigger babylon 5 type stations and the coreolis ones - basically all the big stations, but never at the little outposts.
Today though, I was coming in with contraband as usual, and as usual for outposts I let docking computer do the work since there's no active smuggling needed - or so I thought.
Got the scan message and saw (too late) 4 security ships on patrol around outpost.
Have I just been super lucky the first week and never seen security around outposts, but this is normal? Or is this highly unusual / shouldn't happen at outposts?
