SEEDING- A step towards Atmospheric worlds

Whilst we may not be able to land on said planets, there is no reason why we can't interact with them further. With the latest Beyond Probe system, I propose an extension to it. a Terraforming Package.

The idea is simple;

- A new small optional internal module is added that stacks with the detailed surface scanner.

-When activated in the cockpit, The Seeding Probe will be activated.

-Fired Probes will release a stream of material to the surface (containing a mixture of Algae, Bacteria and even seeds from Earth to aid in terraforming efforts)

-This means that rather than impacting the Planet, it is wiser to stretch the Probe's path around the planet as much as possible.

-This will award a large bonus

-This allows future terraforming efforts (NPC) (in many years to come) to not have to start with a blank canvas with the effort.

Thoughts?

The idea could use some more depth to justify the module bloat. For example, what would happen if you seed a planet that already has life on it? The imperials wouldn't mind, but I don't think the Federation would like you seeding such planets.

Well, this is highly unethical for sure and questionable for actual use, although i have a sneaking suspicion that's exactly what the Guardians did a long time ago.

McCOY: But, dear Lord, do you think we're intelligent enough to...
Suppose, what if this thing were used where life already exists?

SPOCK: It would destroy such life in favor of its new matrix.

What I think what they should do is once you did your Probing and sell it. They should mark the map of what they want. Like lakes and such.

I think what frontier going to want to do make it more in-depth. Kinda like station repairs. You know Cargo ships that supplying materials. Maybe a new cargo rack that holds Liquid or gasses and drops in certain areas.

It would be OK, but I would limit it to Terraformable worlds only-not Earth-likes or Water Worlds. I'd also make it so that regular probes launchers could fire seeding probes, but the ammo for this would be limited (but you could buy/synthesize more). Heck, Factions in Expansion States could give you seeding missions.

I was actually thinking of those barron worlds at the time, yeah, using these probes on worlds with potential life would be rather immoral.....

New idea, this modules CANNOT be used without a Life Scanner :O

Life Scanner can be simply pointed at a world and held until scan is complete, it will then show results of whether there is/isn't life on the planet, if not the Seeding device will deploy properly. if so the payload will self destruct before even making the planet's atmosphere (in accordance to the Pilot's Fed restricted software ;) )
