Seeing your unique discoveries

Hi,

I have just started playing Elite again after a long layoff. I am still puttiering about the bubble and doing some exploring in systems while traveling through them.

I had a couple of cartographic turn ins that had accolades associated with them that mentioned first discoveries and came with some bonuses.

Is there a way to see those systems/planets that I "discovered". This has only happened three times. My understanding is that my name should no be associated wih those. Is there a list kept that I could find out what I have "discovered"? It would be cool to keep track.

Thanks,

Welcome, the only real way is when you first see the planet/system it will become apparent that no one else has ever discovered/mapped it, because it will have no person's tag on it. So you could then bookmark that location. When you get back and hand the data in, you can then use the bookmark to view the location and your tags. As far as I know, there is no log you keep with all your discoveries.

If you're on PC you could check your journals, by default these are in %userprofile%\Saved Games\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\

You're looking for the "SellExplorationData" event type in those and the "Discovered" property:
Code:
{"timestamp":"2019-10-29T20:32:43Z","event":"SellExplorationData","Systems":[],"Discovered":["Segnooe YE-Y b2-0 4","Segnooe YE-Y b2-0 1","Segnooe YE-Y b2-0 7","Segnooe YE-Y b2-0 2","Segnooe YE-Y b2-0","Segnooe YE-Y b2-0 3","Segnooe YE-Y b2-0 5","Segnooe YE-Y b2-0 6"],"BaseValue":21470,"Bonus":31041,"TotalEarnings":39299}

There are programs that will read them for you and make them easier to search, EDDiscovery (link in my sig) is but one of many.

Gosh, that timestamp is long ago. Is it really that long since I landed, ho hum.
