They work exactly as before 1.1. Only difference is supply of performance enhancers runs out much more quickly now, so lux runs are flash in the pan easter eggs instead of gold mines.

I think if you scan their cargo you can find out what they are buying? There are other random ones I've come across at USS with names like "Mineral Magpie" in a lone T9.

+1. Most(all?) of the ones in open space will only buy Performance Enhancers, but the USS ones buy all sorts of different stuff, so you need a Cargo Scanner to determine what they'll buy. They always have a little cargo in their hold of whatever they seek.

I think someone said that the price they got from one in USS was significantly below the normal buying price, and there's no control over the system. Also USS isn't really appropriate for them, as the second you SC to buy whatever they want, they cease to exist!

The "Seeking Goods" spots don't take Performance Enhancers, I've tried and failed.

I've also done what the OP said and still no joy, it looks like when they said nerfed, they meant don't work anymore at all.

I've read elsewhere that they take Narcotics but not for much profit, I haven't tried that yet.

They buy Narcotics for 306 credits per ton, so basically a waste of time even if you could get them for free.

Seeking Weapons buy Battle Weapons for 7,547 credits per ton, but the supply of those is really limited and Seeking Weapons are still not appearing unless seeded by GMs.

why the hell do they not TELL you what they want?

what kind of idiot would hint in riddles for a product they want to buy

it's just stupid

Mainly because its yet another one of FD's half implemented systems that they deem "good enough".
They have to now focus on all those features that panders to 10% of the player base instead of fixing things that EVERY player has to deal with.
You know, like adding a "story" about a cyborg and his bar, that, unless you played elite 30 year ago, read a bunch of fan fiction or frequent these forums more than playing the game, wouldnt mean anything to you.
Or, plugging in a way to allow up to 4 people to group together to share a bounty, great, for the 10% of players that can actually get into the same instance as 1 or more friend.
