Might just be my inadequate understanding but when I try to use the Seismic Charge Launcher it tells me it has to be used in Supercruise? However, I have just blown up an ateroid using them? I thought at first that this was being displayed as an error when I tried to use them on rocky asteroidns but not the case.

cant be used in supercruise can only be used in normal space
and can only successfully detonate on a suitable asteroid with fissures indicators as detected with a prospector limpet controller fired limpet

Check your firegroups. Sounds like you've got something assigned to the same trigger.
