"Select next nearest unexplored body" keybind

I've already suggested this in the orrery map thread over in the Dangerous Discussions thread, but thought it might be more at home here. It's fairly self-explanatory, but, given the data already exists in the navigation panel, what I'd absolutely love right now is a keybind to "target next nearest unexplored system body". I've looked in the control options to no avail, but I reckon this would save me days when I'm out exploring - rather than swing my head to the nav panel, hit space twice, hit "s" to move the highlighter down to the next body in preparation for completing the scan on the body I'm currently targeting and then rinse and repeat, I could just hit "k" or whatever once the scan was complete and my reticule would automatically move to the next unexplored body.

I endorse this suggestion. While I'm good at the use of filters and surveying based on closest objects, this would certainly assist with the continued immersion if only to stop the near routine bouncing between cockpit view and navigation pane that goes on in Deep Space.

Thanks! Believe it or not, I only found out yesterday about filters - I was wondering what the button was for, and boy was I glad when I realised I could filter out those irritating asteroid belts... that in itself promises to save me time when surveying a system.

You're going to find in really complex systems -- particularly with gas giants and it's gaggle of moons -- that you're going to be bouncing back and forth between your front view and your navigation pane. Even when you find that sweet spot to jump from moon to moon to moon, you still have to go back to the navigation pane to ensure you've scanned all the moons and what not.

Still a good idea there. It'll allow me to enjoy the panorama outside of my cockpit.

I'd actually like it to work in a similar way to the way targeting enemy ships works now (at least as far as I understand that process - I always run away from fights) - pressing [key] takes you automatically to the next unexplored object in the system without you having to bounce back and forth. Thinking about it, also similar to the way you can already set up a key to call up the next system to jump to, when you're in-system and you've a route already plotted in.

I like this idea and another I think I've read before. That is having a button to select the nearest system I can jump to, closest to my ships heading. This would be good when trying to make a quick jump from a perilous encounter, or when getting to your destination is quicker jumping ahead of you, the following route, instead of flying in supercruise till the moon you've just left isn't blocking your first jump. (that seems like a long sentence.)

+1 Was complaining about this the other day on PS4. I can cycle targets in supercruise, why not stellar bodies? Would make planet hunting a lot less annoying compared to the headlook at nav panel so I can still see 3D rendering and tap buttons endlessly to cycle the unexplored.
