Self destructed my 436mill Anaconda

So do you guys think it would be worth it to pack an Auto Field-Maintenance Unit for these kind of situations, or not?

My vote is no for CZ's scenarios, you're close to stations anyway.

Edit: I would not go exploring without one or two....

Loose your Python twice in as many days and even having enough insurance to cover the loss twice leaves you with a horrid decision. Do I take off without enough insurance, or sell down to a smaller ship? My opinion that insurance is too high for the common player will be ignored. Thanks for nothing.

AFMU would not have done anything. As mentioned, op simply had to click reboot and repair.
Then that's a tough 24M lesson...

The reason why I asked, though, is because I always pack an AFMU in my battle'conda. So now I wonder if it is worth it.

So....you combat logged?

It's not really combat logging, he waited the 15 seconds and his ship survived. Not something I agree with personally, but he played by the rules.

@Draxxen - I guess it depends how long you want to stay out in the field without repairs. Personally, if my shields go down on the Conda, I'm jumping out anyway, so no need for a repair kit.

I've had my butt kicked twice in a Conda (turrets accidently hit a friendly cap ship) both times an AFMU or reboot wouldn't have saved me, the entire fleet including cmdr's turned red and obliterated me within seconds.

Kinda funny really how your own turrets can be your own worst enemy :)

And yes, tried turrets, sticking to gimballed.

Edit: Even if the turrets only hits enemies, instead of one very angry NPC, when your turrets 'tags' other NPC's, you'll have 7 very angry NPC's on your tail, it must be the same feeling when you stick your hand into a hornets nest.
