Self-initiated reset?

Is there a way for Cmdr's to do an effective complete reset? Stats & all??

If not, might it be of value to newbies? and those with a dirty rotten past??

I would have said clear save, but wasn't there some talk of crimes continuing? Maybe I got it wrong.. (highly likely)

Clear save doesn't clear your stats. (or it didn't in early beta anyway)

It's hard to tell as you no longer see how many kills you have anywhere.

Sure do.

On the right panel, where it shows reputation. A and D will switch the panel to financial and statistics. I believe you can see kills there.

Just checked it, it shows bounties claimed but not the old "number of kills" you had during beta.

I just reset and the bounties I had on my old save were cleared, but still no way to know if there is a hidden kills counter etc.
