Self Repairing damaged modules:

It used to be possible to self repair damaged modules in space. The process simply required that you take the module you wished to repair offline, then you could repair it if you had the required materials. I have high amounts of most materials but my repair option is still red and no list of requisite materials for the repair is given. Just doesn't work anymore. Does anyone know when they removed it and why they left the repair button in the modules screen?

Does the reboot/repair option to get thrusters at 0% to 1% at the expense of losing health from the power plant no longer work?

Should still work. But it can sometimes take a few tries.

You've never been able to repair damage using materials directly; it must be the AFMU you are recalling using. It needs "ammo" in the sense of the amount of repair that it can do is gradually exhausted. AFMU "ammo" can be synthesised using materials.
