Newcomer / Intro Sell the starting ship ?

Is it a good ideea to sell the extra starting ship (Eagle) to be able to buy a bigger one later on ? I think i saw the option for around 50000 credits ?
Is the Eagle an unique ship or can i buy a new one later on when i'm richer.

You can buy a new Eagle later. However it is a great combat ship so if you want to bounty hunt or pirate it is a very good starter ship.

If you do stick with the Eagle you'll want to upgrade the power plant and the power distribution system before buying more weapons for it.

I have no idea where mine is nor do I care. What I did since the last wipe is this.

Sidewinder:

Sell all internals and buy cargo racks. You can max at 10T
Get some cargo missions as they pay a little more then hauling yourself.
Haul until you can afford the Hauler

Strip that down and install cargo racks. You can max at 20T
Repeat process until you can afford a Type 6.

I have no experience with the Adder, so I cannot comment on that as a next ship from the Sidewinder or its progression after.

Depends what you'll do with the cash. Can sell now and rebuy later, plus where you rebuy it might be in a more convenient station than where it's parked now.

If you want to do combat in the beginning, use the Eagle. If trading is more your thing, selling it might be worthwhile. I found trading to be tedious with such low cargo capacity (in either ship), so the free Eagle was perfect for me.
