If I sell my data to Universal Cartographics do I get to keep a copy or do I lose all the information when I sell it?
Slight thread hijack but on similar lines, why when I go to the UC screen I initially see multiple data for sale but having offered and sold the first one the remainder disappear and are replaced by the "Nothing To Sell" message?

You won't get to see the data in the Universal Cartographics screen - which, after all, only shows the price UC is prepared to pay for the data. But you can go to the galaxy map, click on the system in question, and view all of the stars and planets you've scanned.
Once you sell the data, you can do this (view the stats from the galaxy and system maps) at any time, and if your ship explodes, you still get to "keep" data from any systems you sold the data for. This is an important distinction: if your ship explodes and you haven't sold the data, you lose the data and the systems become Unexplored for you again, so if you want the data back, you have to go back there and re-scan those stars and planets.

Does selling data increase your reputation?
is the selling price different at different stations?
and on the same note... Does the selling price increase the further away from the surveyed system you are?is the selling price different at different stations?
No that only works for Rare Goods and basically they level out around 160Ly from origin.and on the same note... Does the selling price increase the further away from the surveyed system you are?
