Ok so I am trying to get Cordial with Robigo so I can do missions there. I read that one of the ways to do this is by selling exploration data there. So I go out with my basic discovery scanner and run around the local systems. I go to a few systems hit the button to trigger the scanner and then explore a few of the close unexplored locations that it finds. I then go back to Robigo with about 20k in data to sell. I go to the universal cartographer and sell all my data. I get no faction gain with anyone (not even the controlling faction) at the station nor anything with the empire (still at 0%) who is allied with the current controlling faction. I don't get any message about a faction gain or a blue line on any of the progress bars showing a gain. I then go out and do this same thing two more times for around 25k each and get the same result. I have sold 75K there now and haven't got anything but credits. What am I doing wrong?

It takes about 5 Million to go from neutral to allied. I think this might explain it... you need more. Exploration is not the greatest money / influence spinner there is.
The only thing I can think of is distance. How far away were the systems you were scanning? Maybe they don't yield any rep if they're within the same faction's controlled area. Step out of the Bubble all together(if you haven't already) and scan a few systems and try again and see if it makes a difference.

You seemed to have missed what I was trying to accomplish. If I could do missions there I would and it doesnt take millions lol.
Thank you for everyone that responded. I kept at it and thought I would update what it took to get cordial to be able to the missions. It took around 250k to finally get cordial. For some reason it never says your are gaining rep as you turn stuff in until it just bumps your up to cordial and you get the coms mesg.
