selling ED accounts, illegal but what happens.

I am sure it is illegal to sell accounts, so was very surprised and bemused to see this.

So this guy advertises it, with email address and phone number.
But now i am curious (again) how does it work, how would frontier know, and would they just ban the new owner (so he loses out) yet the seller gets his money.
What's the official procedure, anybody know.
Sure it will be a false troll post though.

EULAs blocking sale of accounts and EU/UK law is not compatible. If you were to buy or sell a second hand account you would need some legal advice that would cost you more than the value of the account...

They´ll put you on a rocket and send you to Andromeda - oh, wait no, that would be more expensive than your account.
FBI is coming if you are in the US of America. If you are in Europe chances are good that exactly nothing will happen because you have all the rights to sell your stuff. Oh wait, the EULA! doesn´t count in the EU either.
Maybe someone from Frontier is going to make you sell one of your testicles but I doubt that.
Anyway, if you just want to make money (more what you paid) I don´t think it is a very good idea and Frontier should choose that option.

You can argue you have the right to sell, they could argue they have the right to buy. Either way it's not worth a lawyers time.

FD definitely have the right to ban the account, they don't have to allow access to their servers or updates for anyone who isn't one of their customers.

Simple - you risk a ban on the account you purchased this way. There are many ways to hide it from FDev but people are usually not smart and can get caught. Somebody advertising with email or CMDR name is obviously not smart

You don't risk a ban, you risk the first owner of the account claiming compromise. He'll get his account back and you'll ne out of your money. Happens all the time in other games.
