Selling Exploration Data

So with my first excursion into the black underway, I find myself wondering what is the best way \ place to sell ones data? I have heard some places pay more, some people sell to specific factions to get on their good side. So how do you all go about selling your data?

May you get all your wishes but one, so that you will always have something to strive for!

My last two jaunts at 1,000 and 3301 systems all ended up in selling data to the CG. This trip at the moment there is no CG, so will sell data to get me back to allied in the Empire. Will sell at different factions.

Selling exploration data is a great way of obtaining system permits and increasing reputation, unless there is an active CG I'd be inclined to spread it around a bit. For that reason it is wise to change into a more robust ship upon entering civilized space, docking computer also recommended because after a few months out in the black you will be a bit rusty.

Depends on your targets & what goals you set yourself.

My first aim was to become Elite, so i have a system right on the edge of Independent Civvy space, that's my base.
All my data got sold there.

Now I'm Elite, when i return with data i jump in my Python & start to go around Independent systems selling data & trying to become Allied with all these factions.

CGs dont interest me, as Im not in it for the credits.
