Selling high value cargo to players for Real world Money legal?

So... I could not find anything in the terms of service or the code of conduct about this, there is no mention about any rule relating to the buying or selling of cargo from other players through the use of fleet carriers in exchange for real world money.. is this legal or bannable? I cannot find a definitive answer anywhere online.

Lol I’m not going to try it unless I’ve confirmed that it is not against the rules from a dev
Oh ho. :D

So wot we gots here folks, is another goody-goody-two-shoes. :geek:

Who seems to be hoping SOMEBODY ELSE takes whatever potential fallout comes as result of said inquiry....... :ROFLMAO:

I would hope that it is a bannable thing.
Although why anyone would actually pay someone real money for in-game cargo is beyond me, unless there are just very lazy.
You think it should be bannable If say someone says “selling 15,000 void opals 2500 credits each in exchange for $20” ? Do rocket league players get banned for selling in game items? No they don’t

It should be bannable........for the idiots for paid $20 for something like that 🙄
Well then COD and fortnite should get sued for selling skins and operators for 30-40 US dollars each.. oh so the owners of the game can sell whatever they want but if a player who plays 80+ hours a week in a game you think they should be banned for trying to use some of that game time and hard earned grinding to put a roof over their head or to pay their internet bill?

Well all jokes aside on that-game-that-will-not-be-mentioned-here, for starters:

1. ALL in game assets are the property of FDev by default of the nature of the game being a persistent online/MMO format. aka ED is NOT an offline, single player game like Fallout 4, Skyrim, etc etc.

2. By default of being the dev, FDev is the only entity authorized by game's EULA and TOS to set whatever real life/virtual currency rate of exchange exists in the game universe. This is explicitly manifested in the use of Arx which can be earned in game and/or purchased in the store.:-

3. So in addressing the OP's inquiry, this process appears to be a clear violation of the game's EULA and TOS where virtual v. real currency exchange exists.

Which is likely why the OP opted to "ask for a friend" by posting on the forums in the first place

You... Seriously need to educate yourself on your rights in a game.

Game forum 101: "Asking for a friend" literally translates to asking for oneself.

Ok then I guess I won’t risk it then.. I’ll just go apply for jobs out in the real world or keep looking for a job someday somewhere as a video game tester

There is a big difference between official in-game purchases and someone taking advantage of the game to make a few bucks.
