Selling mats to bartender questions.

Hi everyone,

Had a couple of questions on Odyssey mats I was hoping to get some help with.

1. Can you still sell your mats to the bartender on your Fleet Carrier for the engineer unlock, like Opinion Polls?

2. I farmed the 20 opinion polls, Digital Designs, Smear, etc. over the past few days. Instead of getting rid of them to a normal bartender, can I sell them to my FC bartender and hang on to them to sell later to a player?

3. Will they stay on the bartender forever? Meaning a year from now I can give them to someone or sell them on the FC?

4. Do the mats sell for a lot? Any in particular worth selling to the community?

5. If you turn off the bartender for a while, do all the mats get deleted?

Thanks for the help.

1. Yes, but I think you need to have the invitation first before a sale counts (some of the unlock mats you actually have to donate directly to the engineer).
2. Yes.
3. AFAIK yes.
4. You'll probably be able to sell all of these mats with a 100X markup.
5. Don't think so since the mats are stored on the carrier and not with the bartender.

Top mats to sell on are probably:
Power Regulators (5m ea)
SDPs (2.2m ea)
MIs (0.9m ea)
Ballistics data (1.2m ea)
Weapon Test data (1.5m ea)
Digital designs (1.2m ea)
Surveillance logs (1.9m ea)

Pick up when whenever you can and sell from your bartender if you have one to make some easy money.

Genetic Repair Meds sell for 10m each but they can hang around a while until someone decides they want them more than they want the credits. Face it, it's easier to make the credits than to find the mats. I have probably 60 of these.

I sold over 100 Weapon Schematics for 3.5m each, in just a few minutes after posting them.

All the suit and weapon (and many unlock) mats sell pretty quickly. Opinion polls will go right away. Power regulators are super easy to move. Financial Projections for Oden Geiger unlock with Terra Velasquez are probably easy to move also. They are a bit grindy to collect 15 of them along the way to the night vision upgrade with Oden. I know of a really good location but it's probably not a secret.

Just search Inara for the component trading opportunities, look to see who's buying. The list of buyers is exponentially larger than the list of sellers. I wish we could set whatever price we like.

I can't believe weapons schematics sell quickly, those are super easy to get. I guess no one's done a youtube for those? 😛
There are guides for “farming larceny caches”… but maybe those are people who would rather get the stuff naturally or through mission rewards, and/or don’t mind buying them.

They might also be lazy and looking to skip a “grind method”. Both are entirely fair as well.
